This week, we are thrilled to share the details of the Chair of Governors for Garden Village Primary Academy - Mrs Vicki Blundell. "I am privileged to be the Chair of Governors at Garden Village Primary School. My educational career began as a teacher in Birmingham initially and then in Tamworth (my home town) and finally in Burton upon Trent. I have been a school governor for the past 30 years and for the last 20 years I have undertaken the role of Chair at various schools and also Chair of the Trust until 2022 when I resigned due to illness in the family. I was involved in the establishment of the Fierte Trust and this is where my passion lies. I have always developed my skills and knowledge and supported governors in their personal journey. However, my heart is with the children who attend our schools and I strive to allow them to fulfil their potential and wish to carry this through to the children and parents of Garden Village Primary School."
